Cheryl Sanderson (Saltburn)
I’ve lived in New Marske for almost 40 years, previously Redcar, and was born in North Ormesby. On leaving school I worked in retail, then trained as a bookkeeper, and had my first taste of I.C.T. in the mid 80’s, when presented with a computerised payroll and told to “get on with it”! Luckily, everyone was paid and I’ve been ”hooked” on computers ever since. Qualifications were required for advancement, so I now have a 730 teaching qualification, Clait, Clait Plus and ECDL.
For the last 8 years I’ve worked as an ICT Support Tutor with Redcar & Cleveland Adult Education and gained further in-house training, enabling me to support Students with learning difficulties, overcome barriers to learning, and use various ICT applications, i.e. Photoshop, Flash Animation, etc.
My hobbies include Family History research (Internet based), cardmaking, sewing, photography (very much “point and shoot”) and just about any crafty hobbies! I enjoy weekends away, theatre, a variety of music and spending time with my family. I am a Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator and a member of New Marske Residents Association.
