Eston - Wows the judges again!


At the ceremony on September 13th Eston once again again came out tops!

Winner of the Durham City Trophy - Best Urban Community

Eston - Gold Award

Winner of the May Woolley Award - Best voluntary project in support of Northumbria in Bloom

Eston Residents Association - Gold Award

Northern Rock Award - Best Combined efforts of residents of a clearly defined community

Old Row, California - Gold Award

Ron Grubb Memorial Trophy - Best Kept grounds of a care home, residential or convalescent home

Birkdale Drive Older Persons Residence, Eston - Gold Award

Ellis Wood Trophy - Best kept grounds of a religious establishment to be maintained by the parishioners

Eston Congregational Church - Gold Award

Durham Villages Trophy - Best conservation project

Roseberry Crescent, Eston - Silver Award

Presidents Award - Outstanding contribution by a private individual to Northumbria in Bloom

Ann Higgins - Chair, Eston Residents Association

City of Sunderland Trophy - Allotment Associations

Bankfields Allotments, Eston  - Silver Award

Growing Together 2011 - Land of the Prince Bishops Trophy - Excellence in School Horticulture

For the fourth year running we have won the Durham City Trophy for the Best Urban Community - which is an outstanding achievement.  We are extremely proud of these awards and our thanks go to everyone for supporting us.
